Cameron took part in the Springboard FutureChef cooking competition on the morning of Wednesday 11 January, at Buckhaven Community Campus in Fife.
This was actually the first day back after the Christmas holiday, with the Monday and Tuesday being staff in-service training days. Showing his commitment to the competition, and his learning in this subject, Cameron arrived to school at the end of the Tuesday to do some last minute preparation with Andy Kennedy (English and Hospitality Teacher).
Some of the education staff got a chance to sample his practice main course – a chicken dish – and the awesome sticky toffee pudding dessert! They were all very impressed!

Cameron performed very well at the competition, which was attended by young people from a range of schools in Fife. He had to cook in a large-scale professional kitchen, got to see other people cooking, and meet a wide range of new people - an amazing experience!
