The school is well resourced there are interactive whiteboards in classrooms, each young person has access to a laptop which are linked via the school intranet.

- The robust procedures for gathering information at the point of admission combined with ongoing assessments ensure that the individual learning needs are quickly identified and appropriate support is in place
- Literacy and Numeracy strengths and needs are identified by both staff and pupils, using, amongst other tools, Talking Mats. This ensures the learner is fully involved and commits to improving learning
- We offer flexible, individualised programmes designed to help young people develop build on their strengths and reach their potential across the curriculum
- Small class groups with a high staff to pupil ratio offer the opportunity to provide effective targeted support
- Learning takes place across 24 hours and the care team are fully involved in supporting learning
- The school maintains a high level of contact with Educational Psychologists, Social Workers and other lead workers from the referring authority
- Parents and carers are encouraged to visit the school and discuss the educational progress of their child/young person
