Starley Hall continues to develop a range of services and approaches to ensure we fully meet the needs of young people. The whole programme depends on a highly skilled and qualified staff team. The commitment to continuous professional development remains a high priority.

The residential care provision delivers care of a very high standard. Young people are afforded a high level of support and therapeutic input.

On our main site we have a school and education programme offering a wide range of courses and options.  Day places are available if a number of key criteria are met.

Our services are 'Reaching Out'.

‘I have enjoyed working with you and your colleagues, and I have great respect for the work you do, the professionalism of your approach, and the positive working relationships which you maintain with us as a local authority’.

  • Individual programmes vary, and are tailored to the needs of each young person.  Highly individualised plans allow us to work with young people with very complex and wide ranging needs.
  • Comprehensive and effective assessment process leading to multi disciplinary planning across education care and health. Development of integrated plans.
  • At Starley Hall the two residential houses, the Lodge and Starley House are for 5 and 9 young people respectively.
  • In the community we have two houses.  No 76 and Tall Trees which focus on working with young people with complex needs that require a small therapeutic setting. We consider each house is the home for the young person, from which they can attend college, school, work, and prepare with more confidence for adult life.
  • We have experience of working with young people with Aspergers, ADHD, emotional and social difficulties, learning difficulties and complex vulnerabilities.
  • Other services include: action therapy, adolescent psychiatric assessment, speech therapy, art therapy, grief counselling, support with anger/emotions etc
  • We can offer outreach work for young people and family work to support positive change.
  • We can provide individual consultations to work with authorities with young people based in the home community.
  • We also use other services as required: self harm clinic, full range of medical services, careers, vocational and educational links.
