Pupil Council

The Pupil Council is made up of representatives from every class group. We meet every week and discuss important issues affecting young people in the school. We take forward whole school initiatives such as school uniform and ensure that pupil voice is represented in decisions made within our school. We also like to support local charities and further develop our partnerships within in the local community.

Just some of the things we have worked on:

  • The Pupil Council led a fundraising drive for Burntisland Foodbank, and raised around £100 which was used to purchase items from our local supermarket to donate to the food bank. We have also set up a collection point in school so people can donate items to the food bank.
  • We devised a competition to design a logo for our new school uniform.
  • We were asked to fundraise to help give Blue the dog a new smile! Poor Blue had been neglected and was found wandering the streets. He has now received his treatment and is happy living in his new home.
  • We raised funds for Children in Need during December 2016 via a sponsored dog walk, a sponsored silence, a bake sale and a "Guess Pudsey’s Birthday" competition. We raised a great total of £139.50!
