The recent reunion of former pupils was very successful.  The three strongest memories that we heard about from our visitors related to:

Relationships and friendships that were valued between young people and also with adults.

The feelings of safety and care whilst at Starley.

The impact of interests and skills learnt at Starley - including the impact of work experience.

Several former pupils are meeting with the Director in late January to discuss how we can form a group to keep links with friends and staff.

  • The pupil council has been busy, with members meeting the Advisory Group over lunch.  The Advisors were very impressed with the young people.

  • Our new football kit has been delivered - we are looking forward to the first match when the blue and yellow kit will be used for the first time.
  • We are looking forward to our annual Burns Breakfast on 10th February - we know that is a little late.
  • Two young people and an adult took part in the LOONY DOOK on New Year's day at Kirkcaldy - very brave and they raised over £100 for a cancer charity.
  • We raised over £400 for the charities we support from the competition to produce photographs for our 2012 calendar.
  • Finally our class groups have been renamed after rivers that flow into the forth (and including the Forth), so no more class numbers, we now have: Forth, Devon, Leven, Ore and Eden.
